She laughs,
She jokes around,
She’s a somebody in a crowd.
A drop in an ocean.
A speck in the world.
No praise and no complaints.
And that’s when she realise.

A million eyes gawk at her,
Motionless and statue-like,
Sitting like lions to catch their prey,
Moving slowly, nonchalantly.
Hissing one thing or another.
She take another step towards the podium,
And that’s when she realise,
But it’s too late.

The crowd chanting slogans,
Her mates greeting echo in her ear and
She murmur to herself,
“Why is it so hard?”
That’s when she realise,
She has yet to find something.
